• MDs now on staff at Frye and Catawba Hospitals thus accept all PHA and WNCHA Insurance plans, plus most all other Private Insurance and Workmans' Comp. Patients may call ahead and inquire as to acceptance of their particular carrier if any question.

• Enhanced Radiology Services - Full Body X-ray Capabilities You can order X-rays while seeing a patient in your office and send the patient to PUC for the desired studies. The patient will return with X-rays in hand for your evaluation, and subsequent disposiition of the patient. You may keep the films in your office for future reference. You can bill the patient's insurance for the X-ray Interpretation if desired. Alternatively, you may have Catawba Radiology over read the X-rays, and utilize their free film pick up and return from your office. Various local practices are already utilizing this convenient service. *
• Enhanced IV Infusion Services IV Fluids, IV Meds, IV Antibiotics, HepLocks for repeated multiple dosing. Simply call in a Verbal Order to our nurse or write desired treatments on an office prescription to be sent with patient. *
• On Site Pharmacy We inventory a wide array of oral medications, IM/IV antibiotics, scheduled analgesics and steroids, plus meds for in-office nebulization treatments.
• On Site Consultations Occasionally a patient may need orthopaedic, surgical specialty, or medical specialty evaluation for a particular problem prior to disposition or for potential admission. Cosultants often find the process much more streamlined and efficient to see them at PUC rather than the ER. It not only saves the consultant much time, but also saves the patient money, as our charges are significantly less than an ER. If indicated, the patient may be a Direct Admission to either local hospital with orders sent with them.

* No PUC MD evaluation will be performed on patients sent with orders for Xrays or Infusion Services unless requeste or complications were to arise while here.
